WILKINS SELF DEFENCE
KENPO KARATE
Train with Heart and Spirit
Keeping the Flame Burning
The class is brought to attention and they bow in with their instructor Mr Mark Wilkins.
The students are asked to kneel and then remove their old belts these are placed on the left hand side of the new belt which their instructor has placed in front of them
Students removing their old belts
Students placing their old belts to the left of the new belt forming the letter L.
The letter L stands for Love, Learning, Longevity, Loyalty to name but a few.
Students bow touching their forhead to their new belt. This is the acceptance of learning new knowledge
Students receive a kick fom their Instructor
This represents a small amount of the pain, like a woman experiences during childbirth. In time she learns to love the child and so in Kenpo we learn to love and cherish the belt that you have worked so hard for.
