From the 25th May 2018 the Law changed regarding personal information.
Wilkins Self Defence are duty bound to inform you that the personal information that you give to us either directly or via email is covered by the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations). This means that we will store your information securely and will not use it for any purpose other than to communicate with you. Should any of your contact details change please remember to inform us so that we can ensure that our records are kept up-to-date and accurate.  Should we need to use your information for any other purpose we will ask you for your written authority.

Policy Statement

Wilkins Self Defence has a duty of care to safeguard all children involved in Wilkins Self Defence from harm. All children have a right to protection, and the needs of disabled children and others who may be particularly vulnerable must be taken into account.

Wilkins Self Defence will ensure the safety and protection of all children involved in Wilkins Self Defence by adopting the guidelines set out by NSPCC/CPSU.
A child is defined as a person under the age of 18 (The Children Act 1989).


Policy Aims
The aim of the Wilkins Self Defence Child Protection Policy is to promote good practice:
Providing children and young people: With appropriate safety and protection whilst in the care of Wilkins Self Defence.

Allow all staff /Assistants to make informed and confident responses to specific child protection issues.
